VE 3 in Real-Time: Book Publications

I have been fortunate to partner with a variety of residents in urban communities, clergy, youth, and scholar/activists who agreed to share their stories; I was glad to document them. In addition to scholarly articles, their voices have resulted in a variety of books, both traditionally academic and more applied. Some of the book publications below reflect collaborations with other researchers across the country who provided their expertise and experiences to the study of empowerment and social justice. I am also excited about my upcoming collaboration with Benita Blanford-Jones and Cambridge University Press, Kings of Mississippi: Race, Religious Education, and the Making of a Middle Class Black Family in the Segregated South (Forthcoming March 2019) as well as a mainstream fiction novel.
